SHOWPAPER was a FREE bi-weekly print-only publication which aims to list and promote all ages DIY shows in the NYC and tri-state area. It spread the word about shows that would otherwise slip under the radar, and the all ages scene in general. Each issue also features a full color piece of art by a contemporary artist. From 2007-2011, you could find it your local record store/gallery/café/pizza place/etc.
I served as a founding member of the paper and created the back layout of the paper for the first 60 or so issues. Listings, curation, personals, production, distribution, and fundraising were all pulled off by a dedicated handful of artists and musicians that grew to a team of dozens of volunteers over the paper's active years. What an era!
